Top Tips For Getting Organised This Christmas

Are you starting to feel a little overwhelmed with only 19 days to go until Christmas?

Pressure

Sometimes we can put a lot of pressure on ourselves to have all the t’s crossed and I’s dotted and to have everything finished and get organised before we give ourselves permission for a festive break.

Yes it would be wonderful to have all your ducks in a row and everything sorted, however you don’t HAVE to have all your shit together to allow yourself a break. You work hard, you pour your soul into your business, you 100% deserve a break, regardless of what admin you have left to do.

The simple, but sometimes tough truth is, the world and your business won’t end if you don’t finish your admin. It doesn’t make you any less deserving, so give yourself permission to take a break, to rest, to step away from your business and recharge.

If you want to work on getting things a little more organised before Christmas, here is 4 Top Tips to help you get organised before Christmas.

Top Tips

⭐️1. Let your clients know you are taking time off, when you are available and add an auto responder to manage expectations.

This will create open and transparent communication, manage your client’s expectations and manage the expectations of anyone emailing you. It will also help reduce your need to feel like you need to respond immediately.

⭐️2. If you use an automated diary booking system, set your January availability now. When people want to book a call, direct them to your January availability so you aren’t overwhelmed with calls in December.

This will help you stick to your boundaries and reduce your overwhelm to squeeze everyone in December.

⭐️3. Be realistic with your time and expectations. Don’t overwhelm yourself trying to get everything done before Christmas, the world and your business won’t end.

As I discussed in the intro, it’s easy to put pressure on yourself and want to have everything finished before your festive break, but don’t stress yourself out trying to do this, cut yourself some slack.

⭐️4. Prep a couple of social media posts to go out while you are on a festive break. You won’t feel pressure to go on and post when you want to be eating mince pies, drinking sherry and making memories.

This means your business is still being marketed while you are relaxing and it will reduce the pressure on you to post while you are away. And if you don’t have time for this, take a break for social media for a couple of weeks, it’s absolutely okay to have a digital detox.

Remember, cut yourself some slack, be kind to yourself and stick to your boundaries, you’ve got this.
