Why work with me?

There are soooo many businesses offering social media support, Canva design and training, content creation and marketing strategy.

So why should you choose me? What makes me so ffing special?

Honestly, it’s a question I used to struggle with. Like many women, I was much better at talking about other people’s strengths than my own (that’s why I love marketing other people’s businesses). I worried about sounding big-headed, self-assured, cocky even. I assumed my work should speak for itself. But over the years I’ve realised something important: if you don’t tell people what you actually do and why they should choose you, it won’t magically happen on it’s own. Stop making assumptions.

So this is me, unapologetically sharing what I bring to the table. 🌸🦄

Work experience of a Creative Unicorn

My story didn’t start when I launched Cherry Blossom Management (obviously). Long before that, I spent more than two decades building skills across very different industries. My ‘work experience’ is more varied than most people I meet. That’s not because I skipped from one job to the next, it’s because I’m multi-passionate and wanted to explore everything I could.

I worked as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant and Office Manager for large multi-national companies for many years. I spent five years as a Wedding and Event Planner, both in the hotel industry and self-employed. I was also a Regional Manager for a national children’s charity for a few years. On paper, these roles look unrelated, but they all gave me a wide skill set, and all had an underlying skill in common – how to organise chaos, communicate clearly, think on my feet, how to lead people and get shit done.✨ I became the person in all my roles that if you wanted something done, you came to me, and I loved that!

I became the person everyone relied on: the fixer, the organiser, the one who could juggle ten things at once and still keep smiling. Those years gave me incredible skills, but they also taught me the hard way that capability without boundaries can lead straight to burnout. The people pleaser in me was absolutely knackered!

I know what overwhelm feels like

For a long time, I believed working harder was the answer to everything. I regularly worked 60–70 hour weeks, said yes to too much and put everyone else’s needs ahead of my own.

Eventually, my health forced me to pay attention. I developed multiple chronic health conditions and realised I couldn’t keep continuing these burnout cycles, something had to change. Also, as I’ve got older (and I like to think wiser), my priorities have changed, what I want from life has evolved and therefore what I need to do to get there is different. Let me explain.

When I was fresh out of university at 22, my idea of success looked like power, authority, money, buying a house, etc. Now, at the age of 40 my idea of success is working on projects that inspire me, working with people I geuinely like, having freedom over my time and how I spend it, travelling and having adventures, quality time with the people I love and having a positive impact on the world and people around me.

You see how different they are? Yes I still want financial stability, but the rest of it no longer matters. What matters is leading with kindness, finding joy in the little things, and being happy.

The experience I had in my younger years, changed how I work and how I support my clients today. I don’t believe success should come at the expense of your wellbeing. I believe you can be ambitious, want to grow your business, but still have boundaries, and prioritise your wellbing. I believe you can find that balance, and I think I finally have. 🌸

My superpower? Creating calm

One of the things my clients tell me most, is that I make things feel less overwhelming. I explain things in a simple, easy to understand fashion, I communicate clearly, and support where needed.

You see, for me, being organised isn’t just something I do, it’s part of who I am. Years of supporting busy professionals means I naturally look for ways to simplify, streamline and create clarity. Also the fact that I am neurodivergent and having a plan, sticking to a structure, makes me feel safe, and therefore is part of my fabric as a human.

Whether we’re planning your content, building a marketing strategy, or mapping out your next launch, I’m always asking: How can we make this feel easier? Because marketing should leave you feeling confident and excited, not overwhelmed. ✨🌸

Creativity is more than a skill

I’ve always been creative. Long before Canva became part of my business, I loved painting, drawing, pottery, jewelery making, theatre, music, and anything that would let me create something from nothing. For me, creativity is my happy place, and something that calms my overactive brain (that and nature).

Canva simply became another creative outlet. I’ve worked with it for over a decade and have watched it evolve into the incredible platform it is today.

When I design graphics, write content or create marketing materials, I’m not just trying to make things look pretty. I’m trying to help your business communicate clearly, stand out, have impact, and feel unapologetically you. 🎨✨

You’ll get honesty, not just agreement

One thing my clients learn quickly is that I’m honest. Always let with kindness and empathy, but honest nonetheless.

If I think there’s a better way to approach something, I’ll tell you. If your messaging isn’t connecting, we’ll fix it. If you’re trying to market to everyone instead of your ideal client, I’ll gently challenge you.

My job isn’t just to nod along. My job is to help you get the best possible results and have fun along the way. ✨ Trust me, I’ve converted people who used to hate social media, to absolutely love it!

Who I love working with

My goal is NOT to be everybody’s cup of tea, and to encourage you to do the same. 🦄🦄🦄

The people I love to work with are usually business owners who care about making a positive impact in the world, who lead with kindness, are passionate about what they do and who they do it for, and who genuinely want to connecti with their audience.

I especially love working with women who are building businesses that align with their lives rather than consume them. Women who have/want strong boundaries, those who want to grow sustainably, and those who understand marketing should be authentic, instead of performative.

If this resonates with, I’d love to help you get there.

So… why choose me?

Because you’re not just hiring someone to post on social media. You’re getting decades of experience, organisational superpowers, creative thinking, marketing knowledge, honest advice and someone who genuinely cares about your business.

You’re getting a Creative Unicorn who will cheer you on, challenge you when needed and help you build a brand that feels impactful, aligned and unapologetically you. 🌸🦄

And if that sounds like the kind of support you’ve been looking for, I’d love to have a conversation. 🦄
