January has a funny way of making us feel like we should be announcing something big. Bold declarations, perfect plans, a polished list of goals that sound impressive, aspirational and very shareable (for social media) and all that bullsh*t, and if that’s your vibe, go for it, but it’s not for me.
The older I get, the less f**ks I have to give, the less I compare myself to others’ idea of success, the less interested I am in the shiny goals that look good from the outside, and the more invested I am in goals that actually make my quality life feel better and my positive effect on others more impactful.
Also, if you look at nature, January isn’t the time to start setting new goals, new year, new me bullshiz. January is the middle of winter, nature is still hibernating, changing, sleeping, and it fully wakes up in spring, which is also when our bodies change with things like more sunlight, longer days, nature awakens, and so do we – naturally, not forced because a calendar tells us to (just saying). 🙂
So this isn’t another ‘New Year, new me’ post. It’s about what my current goals are for 2026 (which may change throughout the year, because life happens, our needs change and that’s totally okay) and it’s without the filters, or the Instagram-friendly soundbites, simply unapologetically honest, and with a lot of intention.
Goal 1 – Creating More Financial Stability (Without Burning Myself Out)
One of my biggest goals for 2026 is simple in theory, and complex in reality. I want money to stop being a constant source of stress. I’ve had years where I’ve earned more than others and 2025 was not a good ‘profit’ year, business was quieter than usual and therefore, financially more stressful. So I want to create more financial stability in 2026, not because I want lots of shiny new things (I actually couldn’t give a flying f**k about that), but because I want stability and a feeling of financial safety. I want to be able to make decisions without that tight feeling in my chest that comes from uncertainty.
For me, that looks like finishing my course I started working on last year (and invested a feck ton of money in), and it’s running more group workshops and actually putting them out into the world instead of endlessly refining them behind the scenes. It means trusting that what I’ve created is good enough to be shared, even if it isn’t perfect.
I am already doing what I preach, and starting as I mean to go on. I’ve already put my first offer out into the world – 6 social media templates for £100 for January only!
Goal 2 – Stop Overcommitting and Letting Slow Be Enough
I have a long history of overcommitting, whether it’s personal or professional. It’s usually driven by excitement, people-pleasing, or the quiet fear of missing out. And while that version of me meant well, it often came at the cost of my energy, my health and my joy.
So in 2026, I’m practising something that doesn’t come naturally: being restrained. 🙂
🌸 I’m reminding myself that slow progress is still progress.
🌸 I don’t need to say yes to everything to be valuable.
🌸 Moving at a pace that actually works for me isn’t a failure and it’s a form of self-respect.
🌸 You won’t miss out or let people down if you say no.
This year is about building trust with myself, by honouring my limits instead of constantly pushing past them.
Goal 3 – Being Even More Unapologetically Me in Business
There’s a quiet shift happening in how I show up in my business. I want to show more of myself in my business, in my social media posts, and in any communication I have with my current and potential clients. I want people to know me with no filters and no fear of: ‘what will people say’. Now I already do that pretty well, however, sometimes I find myself filtering a little when communicating online (because I’m a marketeter and do it naturally for my clients), but I’m putting a stop to this (for myself).
What does it look like in real life? Well, I want to be more open with my opinions (I know did you even think I could get more honest 🙂), more confident in my expertise (bye imposter syndrome), and less worried about failing.
That means saying what I actually think when I think it, sharing what I know without minimising it, and trusting that the right people will resonate and the rest were never meant to anyway. Goal 4 – Keeping My Health a Priority (And Growing on That Journey)
With 15 different health conditions and chronic illnesses, my body is always part of the conversation, whether I want it to be or not. For a long time, that felt like something to push against or work around. Now, I’m learning to work with it instead.
You’ve probably seen on my socials that I started my weight loss journey in 2025 and it’s been going really well (I’m 3.5 stone down and 3 dress sizes so far). It was not and is not easy, it’s actually incredibly challenging, but a change I need to make. For me, this journey is ongoing and was never about weight loss, or clothes size, because I’m a confident woman and I’m comfortable in my own skin, I can honestly say I loved me bigger and still love me now, that hasn’t changed. What it’s about is improving my quality of life, it’s about reducing the symptoms of my chronic illnesses and helping me recover quicker, or easier.
In 2026, my goal is to continue making my health a priority, knowing that growth in this area isn’t linear or pretty. It’s about listening, adapting and offering myself compassion when things change. Being ‘as healthy as I can be’ doesn’t mean striving for perfection. It means choosing care, consistency and kindness, especially on the hard days.
Goal 5 – Less Screen Time and More Real Life
Outside of work, I want my life to feel fuller in quieter ways. I am going to smash this goal by following 4 simple steps:
🦄 Less scrolling, less screen time, less tech
🦄 More reading books just because losing myself in a story is delicious!
🦄 More time outside, appreciating nature and resetting myh nervous system.
🦄 More time making art simply because it feels good, not because it leads anywhere or produces anything useful.
Goal 6 – More Whimsy, Joy and Play
If there’s one word I want to carry into 2026, it’s whimsy! What it means for me:
🌸 More play in my days.
🌸 More lightness in my business.
🌸 More moments that make me smile for no practical reason at all.
🌸 Welcoming in more magic and feminine energy.
Because success without joy isn’t the kind of success I want. I want a life and a business that feels alive, and is unapologetically me with a bit of unicorn magic and fairy dust spread around.
So What I Really Want From 2026?
When I strip everything back, my goals aren’t complicated.
- I want to be as healthy as I can be in the body I live in.
- I want financial stability so money doesn’t feel like a constant weight.
- And I want to be happy – not performative, not impressive, just genuine.
And honestly? That feels like more than enough 🌸🦄
