Being organised in both our personal and professional lives can make things flow better, make processes smoother, create consistency and quite simply, can make your life easier. So why aren’t we all mega organisational wizards? Honestly….we don’t all have the knowledge, natural ability or time to be organised.
After all to create organised processes takes space in your diary initially, but will save you so much time in the long run. It takes a certain amount of discipline and comes naturally to some of us – like me, but not to others.
I want to offer you a few simple easy to implement tips to encourage you to be more organised.
Blocking Your Diary
🌸Each task that consumes your time, block a space for it in your diary, whether that’s your bookkeeping, client work, Zoom calls, taking a lunch time walk, social media, newsletters, having a tea break – what ever it is, block a time slot in your diary for it. It will help you stay on top of your workload, be more organised and not neglect certain tasks.
Make Your Content Go Further
🌸When creating content for social media, blogs, newsletters – spread the content and make it last longer. If you write blogs, you can repurpose the content for a newsletter, spread it out over several social media posts and of course reuse it at a later date. Chances are each person that reads it, won’t see it on every platform and it will reach different people depending on when and where you publish it.
To Do Lists
🌸Create a to do list every day and prioritise your three items you most want to achieve that day. Whether you use an online calendar, a CRM list, write it on a pad, however you want to manage your to do list, stick to it. Tick off things as you go, as there is so much satisfaction in seeing progress and complete tasks.
Templates
🌸Create templates – Whether this is social media graphics, newsletters, welcome emails to new clients, onboarding documents, contracts, questionnaires, create templates for things you send/use regularly. It will take time to set up initially, but in the long run it will save you masses of time. Canva is a great tool for this.
I have so many top tips and advice on how you can save time and become better organised and if you would like to know more, or perhaps don’t have the capacity to dedicate the time to set up any of the above, then get in touch and let’s see if my team and I can help.
