If the thought of your marketing makes you want to close your laptop, make a cup of tea and pretend it doesn’t exist for another week, you’re definitely not alone.
I speak to so many wonderful business owners who know they need to be doing more with their marketing, but simply don’t know where to start, come up blank with ideas on what to share, what platforms would fit their business, how to keep everything brand consistent, I get it, it can be so overwhelming.
I know you are probably brilliant at what you do, you know business, services and/or products inside out. When it comes to your industry, you have plenty to say, but when it comes to Canva, to your social media, content, planning, or engagement, suddenly everything feels just a bit much.
If you are not careful, your marketing can feel like a full-time job, and nobody wants that!
There is always another platform to learn, another trend you feel you ‘should’ follow, another piece of advice from an ‘expert’ telling you that you’re doing it wrong. Before you know it, you’re spending hours scrolling, tweaking and second-guessing your every step, instead of actually running your business.
That’s exactly why I’ve created something new: The Marketing Empowerment Hour. 🌸
Marketing shouldn’t feel like another full-time job
One of the biggest problems I see with small businesses when it comes to marketing is that people make it far more complicated than it needs to be. You’re told you need to be on all the platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads, X, or Facebook. Then you’re told you need do to more reels (video content). Don’t forget carousels, daily stories, lives, regular blogs, and newsletters. And of course you need a great lead magnet to build your mailing list. Then someone tells you that you need to post every day across all the platforms!
Fudging hell, I’m exhausted just reading all that! No wonder you are feeling overwhelemed!
I am a massive believer that your marketing does not need to take over your life. I believe it should support your business, provide content that educates, shares your views and values, or helps you connect with your audience, and attract who you actually want to work with. That means understanding who your ideal client is, having intention and goals behind your content, choosing the right platforms for your audience, creating a plan so that you are working smarter and not harder. Your time is valuable, and being protective over where you spend it is essential. I’m all about saving time. That means finding what works for you, not what some random person on Instagram told you that you ‘should’ be doing.
You don’t need to know everything
There is a strange expectation that as business owners, we should somehow be a fountain of all knowledge but to think that, is, quite frankly, absolutely ridiculous!
We’re expected to understand our finances, sales, marketing, social media, websites, SEO, customer service and everything else that comes with running a business. But you don’t need to be an expert at everything. You just need to know when to ask for help.
I’ve spent more than 20 years working in marketing in some form, alongside my experience in events, business and leadership. I’ve been using Canva for more than a decade and have spent years learning how to create content that connects with people rather than simply filling a social media feed, or asking AI to do the heavy lifting. Of course I’ve made mistakes, I’ve tested things that didn’t work, I’ve changed direction, but I’ve also learned, adapted and kept going.
I want you to know if there’s something you’ve been struggling with, you don’t have to spend six hours searching Google and watching youtbue tutorials to try and figure it out yourself, you can just ask me.
One of my favourite things to do is to help people, to train them, to teach them, and empower them with the knowledge to take control, feel more confident and show up unapologetically and with impact.
Sometimes you don’t need to outsource your marketing
If you have come across me before, chances are you know that I offer social media marketing & training, Canva design & training and content creation. It might seem obvious that I would tell you to hand your marketing over to me. But actually, I don’t think every business owner needs that.
Sometimes you want to do your own marketing, whether it’s you want to feel in control of your brand voice, you enjoy the process, or from a budget perspection. You just want to feel more confident doing it. Maybe you love creating your own Canva graphics but know you’re not using Canva to its full potential. Perhaps you’re posting on Instagram but wondering why you’re not getting the engagement you expected. Maybe LinkedIn feels like a mysterious place where everyone else seems to know what they’re doing except you. Or perhaps you have a million ideas floating around your head, but no idea how to turn them into an actual marketing plan.
You don’t necessarily need someone to take it all away from you. Sometimes you just need someone who knows what they’re doing to sit beside you, answer your questions and show you how to get the most out of your efforts, and this is what my new service is all about. 🦄
One hour. Your marketing. Your questions.
The Marketing Empowerment Hour is exactly what it sounds like: one dedicated hour of my time, via Zoom, focused entirely on your marketing and what you need.
This isn’t a generic training session where I turn up with a presentation and talk at you for 60 minutes. I’m not going to give you a list of things you should be doing and send you off into the world feeling even more overwhelmed.
This is completely tailored around you. You decide what you want to learn, where you’re struggling and what would make the biggest difference to your business right now. You can ask questions, bring examples, show me what you’re currently doing and pick my brain. Have mini training sessions on how to engage effectively on Instagram and create on brand templates on Canva. I’ll give you honest, practical advice based on my years of experience in marketing, Canva, content and social media.
No judgement or silly questions and definitely no marketing jargon designed to make me sound clever. Just one hour of focused support to help you feel more confident and in control.
What can we work on?
There are five main areas we can explore during your Marketing Empowerment Hour, but the beauty of this session is that you don’t have to squeeze yourself into a particular format.
🌸 Canva – Learn how to get more from Canva, create on-brand graphics more efficiently and finally feel confident using all those features you’ve been ignoring.
🌸 Social Media – Get practical support with Instagram, LinkedIn or Facebook, including how to make better use of your chosen platform and your limited time.
🌸 Marketing Planning – Move away from randomly posting whenever you remember and create a realistic marketing plan that supports your actual business goals.
🌸 Captivating Content – Learn how to turn your knowledge and expertise into content that catches attention, creates connection and gives your audience a reason to keep coming back.
🌸 Engagement Strategy – Understand how to engage with your audience intentionally, build relationships and make social media feel more like a conversation and less like shouting into the void.
You can focus on one area or combine several. Maybe you need the whole hour to get your head around Canva. Perhaps you want 20 minutes on LinkedIn, 20 minutes on content and 20 minutes creating a plan. It’s your hour, so you decide how we use it.
And if you feel you’d benefit from more time, you can extend our session by half an hour for an extra £50.
This is about empowerment
The whole ethos of empowerment is so important to me. I want to feel empowered in what I do, and I want to empower you. I never want you to leave our session feeling like you need to book another five sessions just to understand what we talked about (and to confirm, I’ve never had this).
I want you to leave feeling like, “Oh, I can actually do this.” ✨
What if you have lots of questions?
Bring them. I mean it.
✨Bring the Canva problem you’ve been avoiding.
✨Bring the LinkedIn post you’re unsure about.
✨Bring your social media profile.
✨Bring your half-finished content plan.
✨Bring the marketing idea you’re not sure is any good.
✨Bring the whole beautiful, slightly chaotic mess if that’s what you need.
Because sometimes you don’t need another course, another PDF or another 47-step strategy. You need a conversation with someone who knows what they are talking about, wants you to suceeded and pick their brain. And that is what I’m offering.
Take control of your marketing 🌸
The Marketing Empowerment Hour is a 60-minute bespoke Zoom session for £150, designed completely around you and your business.
You can use it to learn Canva, improve your Instagram, LinkedIn or Facebook strategy, work on your marketing planning, create more captivating content, understand engagement or mix and match whatever you need.
And if you know an hour won’t be quite enough, you can add an additional 30 minutes for £50.
There’s no long-term commitment, no complicated package and no expectation that you need to hand over your entire marketing operation. Just one dedicated hour with me, focused on helping you take control of your marketing.
So if you’re ready to stop second-guessing yourself, stop endlessly Googling and start showing up more confidently and unapologetically in your marketing, I’d love to help.
